SeniorTechPal Team Members
SeniorTechPal has a great team of leaders and volunteers! Learn more about our team below.
Ashu Singla - Founder, CEO
Ashu founded SeniorTechPal after experiencing his family's challenges with technology.
"This challenge hit home when my father passed away in 2021 and we were not able to see him to say goodbye. Due to the pandemic, it had been a couple of years since my wife, children, and I had been able to travel to India to see him. All of our attempts to video chat with him failed as he simply used to say, 'it is too complex.'"
After Ashu's retirement from Intel Corp, he founded SeniorTechPal. Ashu brings 25+ years of highly successful experience in technology, leadership and management, having managed multiple technology development programs and cross-functional teams as Sr Director of Engineering at Intel. His strategic focus and leadership approach of possibility thinking guided him to achieving great results at Intel. Now with the same passion, starting with the first session at El Dorado Hills Senior Center, Ashu has led the SeniorTechPal organization, connecting volunteers from tech companies to seniors to simplify their technology needs. The best quote he heard in one of the sessions, "Ashu, today, you have managed to teach a 101 year old something about technology. Thank You!" Besides SeniorTechPal and technology, Ashu enjoys hiking, racquetball, and spending time with his family. If you are looking for a great hike, the best hike is Tomales Point hike at Point Reyes.

John’s extensive management experience and strong business acumen helps the SeniorTechPal organization meet non-profit organization and funding requirements, and forge partnerships with other corporate entities. His unparalleled leadership reputation at Intel has attracted many talented volunteers to engage in community service with SeniorTechPal.

It was great helping out members of our community who can be easily forgotten. Looking forward to contributing to more sessions." Cornelius, Oregon volunteer
“SeniorTechpal volunteering was a great and grounding experience for me. Staying away from the family, technology is something that keeps me closer to them. And though I can't help my family in such need, I am glad I could help seniors here who have similar needs and difficulties in learning these devices.” Roseville, California volunteer
"SeniorTechPal Volunteering at Cornelius Public Library provided a gateway to use my skills in Technology in a way I had never imagined . Technology can be daunting and helping seniors to navigate through this process is quite satisfying. " Cornelius, Oregon volunteer
“The experience of helping seniors get familiar with the ins and outs of their smart devices was quite humbling. Seeing their satisfaction in having their problems addressed, was highlight of the afternoon.” Folsom, California volunteer
